CCNL catering: part-time work. Today we talk about the CCNL text in the catering sector. This is a text which contains rules and duties as well as disciplinary sanctions inflicted on workers in the catering sector. This text is noteworthy because it allows us to focus on a wide range of issues that are of great importance in the world of catering. So what does the catering CCNL provide? CCNL is an acronym that stands for: national collective agreement. This is divided into two parts: a general part and a special part. Wanting to focus on the part of the contract that concerns the workers' duties, we could concentrate our focus on articles 143 to 149.

In particular, in art. 143, entitled "Duties of the worker", it is clarified that the employee must always maintain a behavior and demeanor compatible with the duties connected to the performance of his activity. This means that the worker must respect the rules imposed by the area in question. In particular, what is required in the individual contract must also be respected. The next three articles of the CCNL Catering, which we want to analyze are respectively art. 146, 149.

Specifically:

In art. 146 the signatory parties establish the ban on accepting and soliciting tips, burdening the worker in the sector.

To art. 149, it is specified that in particularly important establishments the staff must ensure the cleaning and preparation of the department to which they are assigned, except for major cleaning.

It is therefore possible to note that the catering CCNL is aimed at establishing a series of rules and obligations relating to the tasks that a restaurateur should carry out.

What are the related sanctions?

Article 144 instead mentions what sanctions one faces if the rules and regulations set out in the previous articles are not respected.

Therefore, within this article the disciplinary sanctions inflicted on subordinate workers who do not respect the behavioral obligations mentioned above are indicated.

Based on the level of severity it is possible to sanction personnel with:

CCNL catering: article 147

Responsibility towards the work material. Each employee must respect the obligation of behavior necessary for the safekeeping of such work material. This is especially true if it involves high-quality material. In fact, otherwise the worker will face severe disciplinary consequences.

However, the article contains a guarantee rule for the employee. In fact, the employer is required to implement suitable preventive measures to avoid breakage or deterioration of the work material granted to the worker.Furthermore, in the same article, the staff is obliged to immediately notify the employer regarding the theft of the aforementioned work material by third parties.
