Hotel Restaurant Olimpia. Today on our blog we interview the owners of the Albergo Ristorante Olimpia, in Abbadia San Salvatore, in the province of Siena.

Let's start immediately with a very simple question: do you have any typical dishes of the house?
Among the first courses, we have a tasty porcini mushroom soup, while for the second courses we prepare an excellent roast with wild fennel, or if you prefer excellent Olimpia aubergines. As for desserts, however, we have a delicious curl ready to be enjoyed.

Let's stay on the topic of dishes, and we would like to ask you what are the most requested dishes by your customers?
Certainly the most requested dishes are soups and homemade pasta.

Mainly because they're easy to make, but also very comforting when you need a hot meal on a cold day or after a night out with friends!
Mole sauce is one of my favorite things about this country - it tastes absolutely divine served on noodles that have been cooked all the way through but still retain their bite; while cannellini beans add depth and crunch thanks largely to their use here along with some meaty mushrooms such as cèpes (porcini) or porcini

A question that directly concerns the Albergo Ristorante Olimpia as a company: how long have you been open?
We have had this business for 75 years now.

And if one of our users would like to reach you to taste your specialities, where should they go?
Our Hotel Olimpia restaurant is located in the central area of Abbadia San Salvatore in the province of Siena.

We were also wondering if you also have a takeaway service.
We don't have any such service at the moment.

Let's now move on to a more technical question, regarding any IT tools used by the Albergo Ristorante Olimpia: do you have a system for knowing the stocks in your warehouse?
Yes, we have it because we are aware that always knowing the stocks is a fundamental thing for every activity of our sector.

As regards the customers, do you have any regulars?
Indeed, yes: it is always a pleasure to see that a customer becomes fond of our place.

It's not difficult to understand why customers like our restaurant. We provide a variety of high-quality, affordable meals with excellent customer service and reasonable prices for everyone in this community!

Going back to talking about IT, how do you take orders in the room? Do you use tablets or smartphones? In this way we can provide a quality and always correct ordering service.

As regards customer services, do you make home deliveries?
No, we prefer direct contact with our customers.

That's a great question. Let me tell you what I think! When we interact with customers in person, they can feel more connected to us and the experience is much better for them because of this quality of human connection that merchants have when dealing directly without an online intermediary like Yelp or Google ReviewFrPaper that takes away their ability to be authentic, while also providing valuable feedback.

The answer to this question lies deep in the heart of every restaurant employee.They know that the personal touch with each customer is what really sets them apart from their competitors, and it can be difficult for managers or owners not to have time at work to do all those little things that help build relationships between servers and their customers!
The love of talking food might also work in your favor when someone is working behind a counter - how else are you supposed to stay entertained while people order?
