The recent attack on our country caused chaos in many sectors including agriculture where all production was suspended in two large olive oil processing plants located near Rome for several days due to computer glitches that left them crippled by malware infections from May 24 to 27 this year (2016).

The Group's IT technicians immediately got to work to deal with the cybernetic aggression of this computer virus since Tuesday afternoon, when suddenly the virus screen appeared on all the computers in the production plants in Padua and Pordenone. The IT technicians in our group were quick to respond when they received a call from the director regarding this cyber attack. They worked together quickly and efficiently, helping all staff members stay safe and preserving their data for future use!

According to experts, it may not be Petya, as initially claimed, but a totally new ransomware. The outbreak can be traced to Ukraine, then spread to several countries.
