Restaurant Tables: Tips

Restaurant Tables: Tips

In the last decade we have witnessed a boom in interest in food and everything around us. This is because in Italy we have a great tradition regarding cuisine. As a result, people are very passionate about food and cooking.

Furthermore, we must also consider the great success of a series of television programs that has accentuated this phenomenon. Even though in the last 15 years a great economic crisis has hit the whole world and also our country. The catering sector is one of the few that still functions very well from an entrepreneurial point of view.

Many entrepreneurs feel the desire to open a restaurant every day. So they start working on the project having to take care of many things, all of them very important, such as the tax register.

One of the relevant things is certainly the choice of furniture and in particular the tables. In this article, which is intended as a guide, we will look at the restaurant tables,, trying to understand what the various alternatives are that the market offers and how to orient yourself in the choice, when you want to buy them for your own restaurant.

We will therefore see the characteristics that restaurant tables must have and also the various materials that can be chosen.

Restaurant tables: the materials

When you are dealing with the furnishing of your premises it is essential to inform yourself and choose the restaurant tables suited to your needs. There are many parameters to consider and we can start from the evaluation of the material of the tables.

First of all we must consider that the variety of materials has evolved over time based on market demands, which as we know often change over the years. The choice is therefore very subjective and concerns the customer's tastes and design ideas and also the needs of his restaurant.

Among the most used we certainly have the restaurant tables made of wood which are very beautiful to look at, elegant but very expensive. This material is usually loved by those who plan to open a restaurant with a rustic, informal style and who want to create a welcoming and warm environment and atmosphere.

The other materials used for restaurant tables are metal (steel, iron or aluminum) and synthetic materials.

The choice of material is greatly influenced by the space in which the tables in question are placed. In fact there is a lot of difference from this point of view between the internal room and the external room, for those places that are lucky enough to have it.

Starting from the internal room we must consider that the characteristics that the tables must have are character and practicality in moving. In this sense we believe it is appropriate to recommend opting for wooden tables and with synthetic materials.

If instead we talk about an outdoor room the situation changes because unfortunately they often do not have covers against the elements and therefore the first factor to consider is the climate issue.

The best option in this case is to purchase iron, steel or aluminum tables which are very resistant and do not get scratched or damaged by bad weather and do not fly away in case of strong winds.

The flaw of these materials is that they are a little expensive and therefore you could choose plastic tables but in that case the quality level drops dramatically. To be absolutely avoided is the wood that can be damaged more easily and that requires more attention and maintenance.

Restaurant tables: shape and size

Another very important aspect in the choice of restaurant tables is certainly linked to the choice of shape and size.In fact, making this choice wrong is serious because it would mean not organizing the spaces well.

Therefore it is essential to consider the size of the restaurant room: if it is very narrow and long and the space is occupied mainly by the bar counter, the smartest choice is certainly that of fixed wall tables.

This solution means that you can add seats and make good use of the space when the room is full. However, in the case of very spacious rooms, the wisest option is certainly to put square tables, above all because they are more practical to put together in case a very large group of people arrives in the room.

A small trick to implement, and many do it, is to arrange the tables diagonally instead of in parallel because they take up less space.

Restaurant tables: important features

The most important characteristics they must have are essentially: convenience, an indispensable factor to put customers at ease; the resistance and quality of the material, because buying cheap items but with poor quality is a mistake that will pay dearly in the medium term.

The design and aesthetic factor is also very important as a restaurant with excellent dishes, but with tables and furniture ugly to look at, will not be appreciated by the public. Finally, you need to choose restaurant tables that are easy to clean: poor hygiene and cleanliness damage and penalize a restaurant or any type of place.

Coherence in the style of the restaurant tables chosen is fundamental and must be uniform with the atmosphere you choose for your restaurant.
